Timothy (Tim) Bryant began his career as PWC’s 10th CEO/General Manager on August 14, 2023.
Bryant, who brings over 25 years of utility experience to PWC, came to Fayetteville from Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) where he held numerous leadership roles since 2008. FPL is the largest electric utility in the United States, serving an estimated 12.5 million people in the state of Florida. FPL is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc., the world’s largest developer and operator of renewable energy generated from the wind and sun.
Bryant most recently served as Director of External Affairs for FPL where he worked as a liaison between FPL and its stakeholders in the development of Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Economic Development, Community Relations, and Environmental projects across Florida. A former power plant manager, Bryant was instrumental in the operations and maintenance of three FPL Energy Centers. He also served as General Manager of Wind Central Maintenance team that led the restoration of wind turbine fleets across North American before moving into External Affairs.
Before NextEra Energy, he worked for Southern Company in Birmingham, Alabama, where he led a multi-discipline engineering team in designing simple-cycle and combined-cycle power generation facilities and environmental control systems. A native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Bryant began his utility career in 1997 with power generation engineering roles with Black & Veatch Corporation.
Bryant is a Professional Engineer and a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned an MBA from Baker University (Baldwin, KS) . In addition to his utility career, Bryant is a former commissioned officer in the U.S. Army National Guard where he served over 12 years in Kansas and North Carolina.
He is an active civic leader, having served on numerous boards to include: the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) Board of Directors, Business for the Arts of Broward Board of Directors, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce, Habitat Broward Board of Directors, Junior Achievement of South Florida Board of Directors, Kappa Foundation of Palm Beach County Board of Directors, Max M. Fisher Boys & Girls Club of Riviera Beach, Museum of Discovery & Science Board of Directors, Parks Foundation of Broward County, and Pompano Beach Economic Development Council.
Additionally, he was an active member of the West Palm Beach (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Florida Engineering Society, and an active supporter of the Urban League of Palm Beach County.
Bryant has been married to Kianta Prince-Bryant for over 25 years and they share two adult children, Emmanuel and Kailyn. In his free time, he enjoys golf and spending time with family.
Rhonda Haskins was appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2018 after serving in various financial roles at PWC for 24 years. Prior to her CFO appointment, she served as the Director of Financial Planning for 17 years. She joined PWC in 1994 after practicing public accounting with Cherry Bekaert, LLC, and has over 30 years of governmental accounting, auditing and financial management experience.
While with Cherry Bekaert, she led audit teams and financial statement preparation for cities, utilities, schools and construction companies. She holds both the North Carolina Certified Public Accountant and Certified Global Management Accountant certifications. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Accounting from Campbell University and is a member of the NC Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
Rhonda is active in her community and professional organizations. She is a past Treasurer of the United Way of Cumberland County and an active member of the American Public Power Association (past Chair to the Accounting, Finance and Internal Section Committee), the National and State Government Finance Officers Associations, and serves as an active member of a Steering Committee for the NC Women in Public Finance. Her more recent and current local community initiatives are the Women’s Giving Circle, NetWorth, Treasurer of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra Board, and Treasurer of the Cool Spring District Board.
